Abstract

The article presents the results of the diagnostics of level of formation of professionally important qualities of future lawyers. The concept of “professional qualities” is interpreted by the author as a complex mental state, system, functional, operational and personality components have a dynamic structure with functional dependencies. The author assumes that the formation of professionally important qualities of the person in conditions of the law school is primarily a result of the development of the structure of self-consciousness, namely professional self-awareness (PS) personality. Examines theoretical approaches to the problem, identifies the levels of development of professionally important qualities. Structural components of professionally important qualities: professional identity, values, professional competence, awareness of the prestige of the profession. According to the results of the study it was concluded that professional identity is a strategic component of the entire structure of psychological readiness of students of the law school to professional activity.
