Abstract
The article is devoted to one of the actual problems of modern psychology – the study of the question of cultural types and mechanisms regulating the behavior of the individual in society. Materials on theoretical and practical studies of Azerbaijani and foreign psychologists are considered basic models of historic and modern types of crops, and also defines the basic mechanisms for regulating of individual’s social behavior. It can be concluded that at present the individualization and collectivization are not considered mutually exclusive types of crops. These and related regulatory mechanisms may exist depending on the situation at the same time.
