IMPLEMENTATION OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF BIOLOGY METHODICAL TRAINING CONTENT IN THE CURRICULUM OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article summarizes the information about higher education institutions of Ukraine, which prepares the future teachers of biology. The list of standard and selective subjects in the pedagogical universities curriculum according to the education field 6.040102 «Biology»* (qualification degree «Bachelor») is determined. The correlation between different cycles of disciplines (pertaining to the humanities and socio-economic training cycle, mathematics and natural science training cycle, professional and practical training cycle) is ascertained within the education of biologic students. The goal, objectives and meaningful modules are defined for the discipline «Methods of teaching biology» which is the base of methodical training of future specialists. The problems of urgent importance in the subject matter are indicated according to the modern approaches to the pedagogical science. The methodically oriented variation part of the curriculum of some universities subjects, the information towards the leading scientists who provide teaching of these subjects are suggested. The experience of Russian scientists and methodologists is analysed to improve the content of methodical training of future teachers of biology. The content of author courses «Methods of out-of-class activity in biology» and «Methods of conducting the excursions in biology» is examined. The suggestions towards the modernization of future teachers’ methodical training matter in terms of reforming the education system in Ukraine are rendered.
