THE ISSUES OF SOCIAL LIFE OF OSSETIAN PEOPLE IN THE POETRY OF G.M. TSAGOLOV

Abstract

The paper studies the poetry writing of the prince of Ossetian national culture Georgy Mikhailovich Tsagolov. The author places special emphasis on the issues of social life of Ossetian people, which are reflected in the poet’s writing. The paper explains the notion of “social types”, defines and describes characteristics of representatives of different social classes. The author pays special attention to the analysis of some poetic texts: “The Singer Kudainat”, “Tembolat”, “From the Songs of the Day”, “The Sea ungyved”, “At the Grave of Kosta Khetagurov”, “Forward”.

The author considers the theme of miserable and deprived position of a woman mountaineer on the material of the poems “The Story of the Man of Digora”, “To the Ossetian Bride”, “To the Woman”, and reveals the main reasons of absence of love lyrics in the poetry of Georgy Tsagolov. The author comes to the conclusion that the poetics of Georgy Tsagolov are infused with unusual tragedy and sorrow.
