Abstract

This article contains the results of studies of the self-perception and mutual perception of representatives of Tatar and Mari groups of ethnic minorities of Bashkortostan. The differences in the structure of ethnic identity of students of these ethnic groups are revealed. It is shown that in the conditions of another ethnic minority environment ethnic groups representatives form specific mechanisms of self-perception and perception of others which are perhaps a condition of their adaptation to a different culture and preservation of the identities of their own culture.
