Abstract

The paper emphasizes the importance of personality development of both students and teachers in the context of formation of a new educational concept affecting contemporary vision of the educational process and organization of interaction within the learning environment. Transactional analysis model developed by E. Berne is used as the basis for status and role approach which is considered by the author as a factor of students’ communicative competence development. The work reveals the meaning of the three inner elements of the “I” (state of a Parent, a Child, and an Adult) within the personality structure. The author underlines the importance of activization and strengthening of the Adult state as it facilitates a meaningful dialogue between the parties in terms of equal partnership, cooperation, and creative potential development.
