Abstract

This article presents the main directions of improvement of general pedagogical knowledge of the teacher, which in modern educational theory considered from the standpoint of the teaching of science on the one hand, and from the structure of teacher's professional activity – on the other. This relationship methodological, scientific-theoretical and practical knowledge, the combination of scientific, theoretical and constructive-technical, regulatory or governing the activities of teachers, knowledge, content and operational knowledge of the fundamental unity and instrumental knowledge, theoretical and practical knowledge.
